Jolly Old Sundae Cookies
Another Christmas come and gone..... I think at one point during all the Christmas feasting I blacked out. And when I came to my plate was empty and I had very little memory of what all had disappeared from my plate. It seems that is the way great meals always are. I had looked forward to and thought so much about the good foods that I gobbled them too fast or went into the eating "zone". The zone is a state of mind artists or atheletes go into where they are not conscious of what they are doing while they are doing it. Cooking in a fast kitchen can do it to you. You do not think about what you are doing you just do it. Eating all great meals pass too fast. This Christmas was no exception. Here is a picture of our table and my grandmother's Chocolate Sundae Cookies. The jolly little chocolate-cherry cookies are topped with a marshmallow, drizzled in chocolate and then topped with a nut. We all eat them only once a year and they are perfect every time.
